75 years: Selections from the CCSF Photography Department
This coming January the CCSF Photography Department will celebrate 75 years since its first class offering in 1939! To help celebrate, SF Camerawork will host a juried exhibition of work by current and former students, faculty and staff. Photographic artists having taken a credit course in or been employed by the the Photography Department at City College of San Francisco anytime from 1939 to the present are invited to submit work from any era to today. The exhibition will be on view from January 2 to February 7, 2014 with an opening reception on Friday, January 17. Sandra S. Philips, Curator of Photography for SFMOMA, Norman Maslov, Agent International and Richard Koci Hernandez, Assistant Professor of New Media at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism will jury the entries.
